Concept spec · for the jeweler
Three engraved birth-chart beads — sun · moon · rising — on a fine gold chain.
A very fine gold chain threaded through the centre hole of three small beads. We'd love your recommendation on sourcing the chain — a gold-plated or less-expensive gold is perfect, as long as it's ultra-ultra-fine and delicate. (The three gold beads are the piece being made.)
Each bead is a tiny gold hex-nut shape with softened, rounded corners and edges — pleasant to touch, no sharp points. Six flat facets around the outside; a hole through the centre for the chain.
Engraved — your bead, turned three ways
your Pisces, Virgo & Scorpio come round in turn, with the sun & moon marks on the side facets
As small as is practical: about 3.5–4 mm across the flats, ~2.5–3 mm tall, hole under 1 mm — final call with the jeweler. The limit on going smaller is engraving legibility (six tiny icons per bead), not the gold. Engraving this fine wants laser engraving.
Reading around each bead: a symbol for the sun, then the person's sun sign; the moon, then their moon sign; rising, then their rising sign. Same pattern on all three beads — only the signs change. (Symbol style still to choose — see section 04.)
Sun, moon and rising use the marks below. For each zodiac sign, choose the clean astrological symbol or a more playful illustrated icon (a fish, a crab…) — keep all symbols, go all-illustrated, or mix. All illustrated icons share one line weight, outline only.
Illustrated icons are rough sketches to show the direction — they'd be cleaned up before engraving. Lexi's rising and your son's moon + rising get icons once we know the signs. (Virgo's wheat: the sign is the maiden holding an ear of wheat — its brightest star is literally named "the ear of grain." Happy to try a maiden figure instead.)
